MusicSmith is a musical instrument repair shop located in the San Gabriel Valley servicing greater Los Angeles and the Inland Empire. For years we’ve been helping professional musicians, parents, band directors, teachers, and everyone in between make sure their instruments are looking and sounding their best.
About MusicSmith
MusicSmith is a musical instrument repair shop created by Evan Smith.
A lifelong musician, Evan found his love for music at a young age. He spent many years in his parent's garage tearing his instruments down and putting them back together over and over again, modifying them, and taking on some of his first repair jobs.
His career began in the small basement workshop of TreeHouse Custom Drums building all kinds of drum sets, nesting kits, concert drums, and more. Under the tutelage of his mentor Derek Sharp, he found a love and appreciation for the process of building beautiful instruments and the people who play them.
After moving to California in 2022, he continued his career working for a band instrument repair shop fixing all kinds of woodwind and brass instruments. In 2024 MusicSmith was created as the in-house repair shop for California Drums. Since then Evan has been helping folks with repairs/ restorations and hopes to continue his work there as long as he can.
